i made a facebook event for something that goddamn hurricane irene cancelled: Rudy Family Meet and Greet and Don’t Tell My Mom I Still Smoke Hey guys so I know we’re in the midst of hurricane plans or WHATEVER but my FAMILY is in town and I would like to drag them to Roberta’s for brunch and then Wreck Room to seek shelter from the rain and also meet some of you before I toss them in a car and send ‘em back to Manhattan in miserable traffic in the rain because I’m a jerk. I know it’ll be rainy and probably pretty gross. I know. Special guests include MY PARENTS, MY BROTHER, and HIS GIRLFRIEND who is named after a bird from New Zealand and is also very sweet. I’m thinking around noon or 1pm we’ll be over there and maybe we can make it potlucky? I know Erica was talking about ambrosia salad. But I’ll keep you guys posted.
